Hi, I’m Ana Cristina — an artist. Everything else branches from there.

I’m a performer, musician, producer, teacher, and development consultant. I build work, and I build containers for work. I care deeply about rooms — what happens inside them, who gathers, and why.

In theatre, I’m drawn to intimacy: live music, movement, puppetry, poetic language. My work often explores identity, displacement, and resilience — the beautiful and uncomfortable in-between. Critics have described it as “chilling,” “crisp,” and “focused.” Audiences have called it “fascinating to watch.”

Right now, I’m immersed in songwriting. Guitar in hand, chasing a sound that lives somewhere between Kate Bush and Joan Baez. Music feels like fire, and I’m following it.

I’m the Founding Co-Artistic Director of the 501(c)(3) theatre company What Will the Neighbors Say?, where I cultivated community-driven programming for six seasons. My work has been supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, Brooklyn Arts Council, and ART/NY.

Alongside my creative practice, I consult artists and institutions on fundraising and strategy, helping them secure funding and build sustainable ecosystems. I love structure almost as much as spontaneity.

Raised in Austin by Venezuelan parents and now based in Brooklyn (and often elsewhere), I am proudly bilingual and most alive in cross-cultural spaces.

If you’re building something and want thoughtful strategy, I’d love to connect. Currently available for consulting engagements.
